Mad Orbs

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 30, 2026

By playing Mad Orbs at madorbs.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site. This is a translation of the Portuguese original; if the two differ, the Portuguese version prevails.

The service

Mad Orbs is a free game, made by Érick Matheus de Oliveira and supported by ads. The game may change, go offline or end at any time. Matches are not kept; the names and stats of accounts are kept while the account exists.

Conduct

You may not:

Whoever breaks these rules may be removed from matches or blocked, without notice.

Accounts

Accounts are optional and free. Each account has a player ID that never changes; the name can be changed at any time and follows the conduct rules above: names that break them, or that pretend to be someone else, may be removed. A name has up to 16 characters, with at least one letter or digit, no # and no invisible characters; names that pass for the game or its staff (such as "Admin" or "Moderator") and serious slurs are refused, and in an online match they become a guest name. Stats only count online matches played fairly and against other people (kills on bots and matches with nobody else don't count); results from cheating may be erased. You can delete your account at any time in the game's Account window.

Source code and license

The game that runs in your browser is free software, distributed under the GNU General Public License v3. The source code of each version published on the site is at github.com/ErickOliveira12eng/MadOrbs, and nothing in these terms limits the rights that license gives you. Mad Orbs is derived from Babo Violent 2 (RndLabs, 2006), whose code and content were released under the same license; the credits and the origin of each file are in the repository.

The announcer's voice (Double Kill, First Blood...) is the WARLORD Announcer Audio Pack by VoiceBosch, under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license; the files only had their names changed.

The music is by GTDStudio (Palrom): the menu plays NИNN (metal) (CC BY 3.0) and the matches play Doom, Skirmish and Dirby day from Triple kill (OGA-BY 3.0), joined into one loop, with the volume lowered.

The online match server and the administration systems are not distributed: they run only on Mad Orbs' machines and, for security reasons, are not published. Questions about the code can be sent to contatomadorbs@gmail.com.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for usage statistics and ads as the cookie banner explains: in Europe only if you agree, elsewhere until you refuse them. The game works the same either way. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of the pages. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Ads

The ads shown on the site are from third parties, chosen by the ad network (Google AdSense). Mad Orbs is not responsible for the products and services advertised. See how data is handled in the Privacy Policy.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. Mad Orbs is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the site, or for what other players write or do in matches: each person is responsible for their own content.
